What Is Baptism?
Those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior are candidates for Baptism. Baptism is a Scriptural ordinance of the church that affords believers the opportunity to publicly identify with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.
What Is Church Membership?
God desires for everyone to believe on His Son Jesus Christ and belong to a local church. Christ gave Himself for the church and it’s here that the Christian discovers the reason why God saved them and has given them life. We would love to help you discover all that God has for you.
There are three ways to join NorthSide Baptist Church:
- Through baptism – Those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior are candidates for Baptism. Baptism is a Scriptural ordinance of the church that affords believers the opportunity to publicly identify with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. Upon baptism at NorthSide Baptist Church believers become members.
- By letter – This communication takes place between churches upon request of change of membership.
- By statement of faith – For various reasons there are occasions where one’s previous church cannot be reached to transfer membership. Upon the believer’s testimony of salvation, baptism, and public reception, the believer can become a member.
